The RIGS SimRace 3 sim racing rigs chassis is an excellent mid level cockpit that can be converted from a GT driving position through LMP* to full Formula*. Using highly modular aluminium profile as it's core construction to ensure that it is rigid enough to cope with the forces from high end sim racing components.
The chassis is made from our own design aluminium profile that's been tested for rigidity, yet ensuring it is as light as possible. Using high tensile steel "top hat" brackets to fix the uprights for the steering wheel ensures a solid connection. The chassis colours are heat treated powder and coated by hand, to ensure the finish is not only durable but also the finish you would expect. With wide seat mounting aluminium profile, offering two heights for your seat to be mounted to.
The SR3 chassis comes as standard in either Black. But we also offer you the option of having your chassis in your colour choice for an additional cost. Simply choose "Bespoke Colour" and enter the RAL colour code and we will powder coat in a highly durable finish. Wheel deck, pedal deck, corner brackets, plastic cover caps and steel brackets remain in texture black. Please note, bespoke colours add 3 weeks to standard delivery time.
The steering deck is made from one piece of 8mm high tensile steel. Easy to adjust the height, angle and depth of your steering wheel and ensuring that any wheel you bolt to it will be rigid to avoid flex and input lag. Using one piece of steel keeps it simple and avoids flex between joints. Heat treated and powder coated with a textured black to give it durability.
The pedal deck is made from one piece of high tensile 5mm steel that has been heat treated and powder coated in texture black ensure durability of finish. But also offering a solid flex free mounting for your pedals. Easy to mount to the chassis with 4 mounting points that allow you to slide the pedal deck forwards and backwards on the 4 aluminium towers allowing height and angle adjustment. But also giving more leg length adjustment if needed without adjusting the chassis itself.
Raising the Pedal deck and adjusting the seat mounting on the OBP Seat bracket gives a full Formula laid back position.
Lowering pedal deck and rotating the seat back to GT position
